A collaborative project that connects the creative writing of older women with the works of contemporary interdisciplinary artists (ceramics, photography, textiles, and more).
The Cuentahilos project originated from writings produced by older women in the "Weaving the Past" workshop (2022, Tempora NGO) and a series of meetings and exchanges with contemporary artists focused on various crafts.
These women used media such as photography, ceramics, textiles, sound, and video to collectively create an intimate narrative. From a relational art perspective, Cuentahilos materializes personal experiences within diverse socio-political contexts, valuing the everyday, the minimal, and the anonymous over grand narratives in the social construction of local history.
